Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will not sanction a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to Calciomercato.com.
A rival Italian transfer new site TMW claimed last month that the Blues were seriously considering an offer for the Argentinian international with the player having yet to sign a new contract with Juve.
However, Calciiomercato report that Abramovich would not be interested in freeing up more funds for Dybala as Chelsea have already invested significant sums in signing two similar players last summer.
Kai Havertz was snapped up for an initial £72m, while the Blues also paid £33m for Hakim Ziyech. Both players play in roles which Dybala has played for Juventus.
Havertz can play as a false nine or as a number 10, which is Dybala’s preferred position, while Ziyech plays off the right flank where the Juve star has also played during his time with the Serie A champions. It seems almost certain that the Argentine won’t be in Chelsea’s sights next summer. This may leave the door open for the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham who have also been linked with the 26-year-old in the past.
